Film Weekly records the following changes in capacity: 1946/47-1948/49 = 1773 1949/50-1961/62 = 1697 1962/63-1965/66 = 1644 First cinema in Northcote to introduce sound in 1929. From May 1965 the Regent only showed films on Thursdays, Fridays and Sturdays, before closing for good in June 1967.
