Herbert Clues who was also operating the Sturt Theatre on Maud Street, opened the Unley Palace Pictures. Herbert Clues then sold it to the Greater Wondergraph Company in 1919. Renamed it the Unley Wondergraph Theatre. In 1920 the theatre was purchased by Dan Clifford Theatre Ltd. And at this time the venue was known as the 'Old Star' Theatre. After it closed in 1930 the auditorium was used as a mini-golf course and a fruit and vegetable market. It was eventually purchased by Ozone Theatres Ltd. References Manager: Keith Waterman. |
