On Thursday October 27, 1955 at 2:30 Katherine Hepburn officially opened the Adelaide Plaza Theatres at a charity matinee with the premiere screening of Summer Madness Renamed the Paris Theatre in 1966. According to Adey (p 10) "the final film at this lovely intimate thetare was A Guide For A Married Man in mid-1968 and the theatre was demolished to make way for the completion of the Regent Arcade..."
