The Times Theatrette was a small single level basement theatre located underneath the Royal Colosseum Theatre/ Victoria Music Hall/ Melba / Liberty / Odeon, Melbourne in Bourke Street. The Times opened on September 16 1932 and was a Newsreel theatre running continuous sessions every hour. The Times screened films for its last few years (mainly of a sexual variety). The Times Theatre closed on February 2, 1978. The last film to screen there was Summerfield before the site became a shopping arcade.
